A dainty, mid 20th century charm, modeled in 14k yellow gold, as functioning whistle. Thisminiature whistle is beautifully and substantially made, in the classic shape, with a round body and a long, flat pipe. It makes a soft, high-pitched sound when you blow it. This makes a gentlevisual statement, worn alone on a slender chain; it would also be a fine addition to a thoughtfully-composed collection of charms.

At some point I logged the phrase "whistle louder" in my memory, as somethingyou tell yourself when you'reafraid, or alone in the dark. Now this is the connection I make with the idea of a whistle— something small persisting in the darkness.
