Avery cool mid-20th-century St. Jude Thaddeus Pendant, modeled in 14k yellow gold. This vintage catholic medal features an especially handsome profile of the saint, in relief— hewears a dignified expression; he has long, wavy hair, and a long, wavy, pointed beard. St. Jude'sname appears in raised block letters, whereit curves to follow the top edge of the medal. This hangs from a v-shaped, scalloped bail. It has a nice heft, as well as contrasting textured and polished surfaces. Saint Jude is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes— this makes him an easy-to-love symbol, even for non-believers! This vintage medal is unusually bold and graphic.
